Cabaret of Souls is a musical chronicle set in Hell with a score written by Richard Thompson and featuring Danny Thompson, Harry Shearer (The Simpsons, Spinal Tap), Judith Owen, Debra Dobkin, Pete Zorn and string ensemble conducted by Peter Askim. With The Keeper and his assistants bored with their custodial duties, they decide to stage a talent contest, dragging various lost souls out of the darkness to perform songs that reflect their recent lives.

The concert will also include the World Premiere of Lawrence Dillon's "Figments and Fragments" (commissioned by the Idyllwild Arts Academy Orchestra and the Richard P. Wilson Fund for New Music) and the World Premiere of Peter Askim's "Still Points: Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra", (featuring Tucson Symphony Principal Trombonist Michael Becker), based on T.S.
